We paid 800
All the kohler units in our home needed multiple parts. Kohler would not extend the lifetime warranty to us since we are not the original purchasers. I really hated the kohler toilets and I had no interest in paying to fix them and waiting 3 months for back ordered parts. This Ove came up on a Costco ad. I wasn’t going to settle for a washlet seat because they often do not fit well making cleaning difficult. Plus I hated the kohler toilets we had.
A decent washlet seat with comparable features will run 300-500$, Toto (the gold standard) Is around 800$ For a washlet seat. A Toto neorest (Complete unit) which is a close caparable unit to this is $4500-and up. i was considering one. But, All these heated bidets seats usually get replaced every 5-10 years. It has heaters in it that will Eventually fail. Toto will likely last longer, but not forever.
Having a toilet seat that is designed with the bowl, is far easier To clean. That’s what I liked about this unit. There are no crevices at the base of bowl, it’s a solid flat easy to
Wipe surface. it is a very difficult install for this reason also. The reach through to get the flange nuts on each side because of this design, is Very hard. but, that is a hygiene design not a easy install design. if this toilet is in a corner, your probably only getting one on. But, this thing is Heavy- so one may be ok.
The fill tank of this is very well designed. Fills fast and relatively quiet. Over all, this is a great unit. Although you can find things to pick on, I’m basing this review on It’s price, not on a 4500$ unit.
You push a button on remote to ‘wake up remote’. This is a battery save feature. Everything is single push thereafter.
It first flushes when you hit the dry fan because - It’s a complimentary flush. Trying not to stink up the bathroom.
The lid doesn’t open when you walk within proximity because this isn’t a 4500$ Toto. Yes, lessor cost brands have this feature, and it’s Also the first feature to break.
Close the lid to retain energy from the seat heater.
In conclusion, we are replacing all 3 kohlers with the saga. One note, one of the bowls had a small leak around a interior upper area just above the left flange bolt(from back access), just after a flush. examine the interior bottom access area and Test thoroughly before walking away. This is a weak spot in this type of Enclosure style design. Company responded quickly and replaced bowl. After all the issues I had with all 3 kohlers and so many other units, the leak was not enough to compare to those horrible things. I probably could have patched it easily.
Anyway, it’s still a great unit. The seat won’t last forever, though the toilet may. Keep that in mind with any bidet unit.

Cool toilet - 5 stars so far
Bought this after a friend recommended it. It looks great and so far works well. Love the blue light inside. Lots of bells and whistles which sometimes makes me worry about things breaking. In the old days, things were made to last... hope this is too. It was an investment considering I needed to hire an electrician and a plumber which is expensive in NYC, but it is a treat. I like it very much and I really hope it is made well and lasts a long time.
BTW- they offer a Limited Free Lifetime Warranty if you leave a review.

I like the toilet but it isn't reliable
I have had the toilet for almost three years. It has had small problems; leaking, nozzle not working correct, remote not functioning. My big issue is the lack of response from Ove. Almost impossible to talk with anyone that is knowledgeable.

Great design but low quality materials
When we saw it at Lowes, liked the look and feel and matched our new remodeled bathroom. It was working great for a year, but things started to break. The metal cover over the manual flush pupped out and when I called the customer support, I was told to use crazy glue to put it back in. A month after the right latch that connects the seat to the body cracked and can't get anyone to help getting a replacement part.

Saga smart toilet
This is a really nice toilet. It is the second one I have installed. The first one went well with the exception of threading the nuts onto the closet bolts to attach the toilet to the plumbing/drain. I realized that the best option would be to get some wingnuts Instead of the standard nuts that are supplied. That made the installation super simple and I cannot recommend that enough.

In love!
We were searching for an upgrade to our after market bidet during our bathroom renovation and came across the Saga Smart Toilet. Just installed and it's gorgeous. A DEFINITE upgrade. Love all the features of this toilet, most especially a heated seat (no more cold toilet seat in the winter!!) We would highly recommend this for any bathroom.

Everything You Need in a Toilet
Just bought our toilet and we are ecstatic so far! Tons of very handy features and you will leave it completely clean and refreshed! This toilet is amazing! Beware it may result in addiction! It feels incredible!
