Beautiful tub
Love the tub but had a professional plumber install and I am not sure he would agree with me. It was a tough install and don't think this one is that easy for a DIY installation. Ours was slightly bowed in the center making it difficult to adhere to the floor which was perfectly level. It is now siliconed into place. I also ordered the stand alone tub filler from Anizzi which is pretty but sits on a tripod so it does not feel very stable on the floor. Not for children or adults acting like children. It was just installed so have not had a chance to actually sit in the water yet but adds a beautiful focal point to our bathroom.

Good looking tub, challenge to install the drain
After much research settled on this tub for a Master Bath reno. The challenge came with connecting the drain line. With no access to below had to rough in the trap, lifting up the existing floor after laying the tile, ran the supplied flex drain hose. Leaked like a sieve. Not where the flex line connected but in the flex line itself. Called customer service who sent a new one. Was more careful installing the new one being careful not to extend too many times. Hoping that the flex line will last over time.

Decent Tube - Mounting Is Questionable
I researched freestanding "soaker" tubes for my master bath reno. After reading many reviews and trying to balance value & quality, I pulled the trigger on the Ove Ruby 65. One issue I saw in a number of reviews were people's dissatisfaction with how easily the tube moved or rocked after installation. After receiving the tube from Amazon ($200 less than Home Depot), I set out to improve on the instruction's installation method...which surprisingly is only to "caulk it in place". I opted to secure (JB Weld) some 3/8" threaded nuts to the backside of the cross ribs at the base of the outer shell. Once I placed the tube (outer shell only) in the desired location, I drilled thru the floor (basement rancher). After assembling the inner/outer shells and bolted the tube to the floor from up inside the basement. Once the installation was completed and caulked, the tube was very securely held to the floor. Special care was taken to ensure the bolt length engaged the nuts, but didn't extend past the 1" clearance zone before hitted the inner shell.
Overall, it's a decent quality tube for the money. If money were no object, a $2,000 heavy tube would be the better route for long term durability. But like most of these tubes...the wife has to have it, only to end up using it a few times!

Beautiful tub
This is gorgeous for the master bathroom remodel we did. The plumber and contractor were impressed. It installed easily. My wife loves it! The only downside is that it is so light, we had secure the "feet" with silicon to the floor, otherwise it would move around if bumped. It is just installed, so I cannot validate the longevity, but it appears to be constructed of high quality materials.

Get what you pay for
This tub is as cheap as they get. Very low quality construction, flimsy and super light. Great for ease of carrying, but nothing else. This thing won't even sit tight to the floor surface - you have to put in a huge line of caulk just to fill the gap on the bottom of the tub. It's so thin and flimsy, you wonder how anyone could get into it without flipping it over. Do Not Buy!!!

Beautiful tub
We recently ordered and received our Ruby model tub. Now that it is installled, I can confidently leave an honest review. I love the size of the tub. It fits perfectly in our space. Took a little work to get the drain correct; but I would not hesitate to recommend the tub.
